Inspired by the traditional Indian Masala Chai, our Chai blend is one of our most popular, based largely on its unique taste. Consisting of a black tea base, with sharp cloves and cardamom, cinnamon and nutmeg in an assertively spicy mix, this tea is great in winter to warm the cockles, or perfect in summer as a bitey alternative to the traditional cup.

Chai celebration

Origin has come up with a great blend of spices and good black tea. Bring back the teapot and leaf tea I say. (and hats) I especially like the chewy ginger kibble. It’s a good substitute for fresh ginger when it’s not available. I usually make my own chai from whole spices ground in a mortar and pestle, but in my country town they’ve become hard to get and expensive. A big mug of hot Origin chai tea is just what I need to pep me up all day. I’m sipping one right now.
